Airport assistance

Available for all commencing students. A representative will meet students on arrival at the airport and transfer students safely to their accommodation.  All students under 18 are required to book airport assistance unless accompanied by their parents.   Students applying for airport assistance must also confirm their flight details with GBS at least 3 working days prior to departure.

  • International Airport – Turn left as you exit customs and enter the Arrival Hall and look for a representative holding a sign with your name or your college/university in front of The Coffee Club. Please introduce yourself.

  • Your driver will be available to meet you 1.5 hours after your scheduled on-time arrival time.  This ensures we accommodate any delays you may experience with flights or at customs.
  • Once you have passed through customs, please proceed to the meeting point at McDonald's.
  • You can contact the driver via the direct phone number we provide. Call your driver who will come from the holding area to collect you.
  • Please ensure you are ready and waiting at the meeting point.  The driver will not be able to wait at the terminal for an extended time due to airport regulations.

Your driver will wait for you next to the groups and tours sign at the southern end of the arrivals hall in (terminal 2) international terminal.

If you have arrived on an international flight you will enter the arrivals hall after you collect your luggage and clear customs and quarantine.

Student Welcome Desk can provide additional support if required.


Please head to the point marked on the map to meet your driver.  They will be holding a sign with either your name or your college/university name for you.  Please introduce yourself.


Important Instructions

  • If you arrive on schedule and cannot find the representative, ring the number of the driver provided on your booking form.  If you are unable to reach them, call us immediately for assistance.
  • You must contact us and inform us of your new arrival details if you miss your plane or changed your flight.
  • If you fail to show up or notify us of any changes or cancellation, full fees will be charged.
  • Drivers will wait for 60 minutes after the flight arrives to allow you sufficient time to exit customs, if you are delayed clearing customs, please call the driver to advise.

What can’t I bring to Australia?

Every piece of luggage is now x-rayed or screened at the Brisbane International Airport. Students who fail to declare or dispose of any prohibited items, or make a false declaractions may face an on the spot fines
